2010s can be defined as the era of change in the fashion world. It not only introduced new styles to the people butthe vintage look also made a comeback. We saw the coolest supermodels walking the ramp in trendy clothes and the celebrities and style icons filled the columns of fashion magazines.

But the most influential trends came from the social media. Instagram and Pinterest became the catalyst of change in fashion arena and celebrities like Rihanna and Gigi Hadid became inspiration of the fashionistas and style nerds around the world.

Since it is the last year of this decade, we take a look back at some of the best fashion trend that dominated the era of 2010s:

1.    Athleisure

If there was one trend that will mark the transition of style in the 2010s then it has to be theathleisure. The athletic wear that was once an attire for the workout became the hottest commodity of fashion enthusiasts. The last time athletic outfits were a rage was in the 1990s when they were a chic suit you could wear inside and outside a gym.

Sustainable clothingremained a hot topic during this decade. It raised issues of animal rights and highlighted the environmental impact of clothing. Companies like Levi’s, FEIT and Marimekko are reinventing their manufacturing practices to make them more sustainable for the environment. The recent popularity in the neon colors can be attributed to the Gigi Hadid and Cardi B who filled their Instagram with the dresses in neons.We expect to see more of them in the coming years as well.
