Custom Beanies Embroidered with Your Logo

Cuff or no cuff? That's the first thing we ask when someone calls about custom beanies. Before color, before the logo. The cuff decides where your logo sits and how much room it gets. After that you pick the warmth: a plain acrylic knit, a lined knit, or a full fleece cap. Every beanie in this category takes an embroidered logo, and you can order just one.

Custom Beanies: Cuffed, Uncuffed or Slouch?

Most listings give the length in inches. It sounds like a small detail. It isn't, because length is what changes the look on the head and the space for your logo. Here's how the styles we carry break down:

People ask us if "one size" really fits everybody. Mostly, yes. Almost every beanie here is listed as one size, and knit stretches. A few are sized, though: the Under Armour 6013111 and Columbia Trail Shaker come in S/M and L/XL, and the Bulwark HMC2 in M and L. Order those by head, not by guess.

How Warm Should Custom Winter Beanies Be for Houston?

Honestly, for most Houston winter days a good knit is plenty. But a crew starting at 5 a.m. in a January cold front, or anyone working in a cooler, wants more. So think in three levels.

Plain knit, single or double layer

The Big Accessories BX026 is a single layer of 100% acrylic. The Augusta 6815 is two layers of 100% acrylic and machine-washable. Same look from the outside, but the double layer is warmer, kind of like a lined work glove next to a cotton one. In our experience the double layer also stitches a bit firmer. Worth the switch for early shifts.

Lined knits

The Sportsman 12" family comes three ways: SP12FL with a polyester fleece lining, SP12SL with a sherpa lining, SP12JL with a jersey lining. The fleece-lined one even comes in Blaze Orange, Safety Yellow and Neon Green. The Columbia Winter Blur II has a polyester microfleece lining, and the Imperial 6014 has a grey fleece lining plus a faux fur pom.

All fleece, or built for wet weather

The CORE365 CE901 is 100% polyester fleece at 7.5 oz/yd² (ounces per square yard, so higher means a heavier fabric). The Big Accessories BX013 is 100% polyester fleece too. For rain, the Under Armour 1343149 Storm Elements has a UA Storm finish that repels rain and snow, with brushed fleece inside. The Columbia Trail Shaker is about heat instead: it uses Omni-HEAT thermal reflective.

The catch? Some of the weather-ready styles come in very few colors. The Under Armour 6013111 Team Storm is Black/White only, so if your brand color is red, start somewhere else.

Embroidered Beanies: What We'd Stitch and Where

We'd embroider every beanie in this category. On a stretchy, ribbed knit, thread is the way to go. Your logo is digitized first (turned into a stitch file the machine follows), and the knit gets the right backing, the material behind the fabric that keeps stitches firm, so the rib doesn't pull out of shape.

Shop note: measure the folded cuff before you size the logo. Cuffs aren't all the same. The Big Accessories BA698 has a 2" fold-up cuff, the BX031 a 3" cuff, the Imperial 6020 a 3" cuff, and the Outdoor Cap OC870 a 4" cuff. A logo that fits the OC870 can be too tall for the BA698.

Textured knits need a lighter hand. On the Atlantis HOLLY listing we note that fine detail may need adjustment, because a knitted surface behaves differently from a flat cap panel. Same goes for the chunky cable knits like the Richardson 143R. Thin lines and tiny text get lost in the ribs, so a bolder version of your logo works better there. And on heather colors (lots of these come in Heather Grey or Heather Charcoal), the speckled yarn tints thread colors a little. Pick thread a touch bolder than your brand file.

Design a Beanie Around Who Wears It

Pick the people first, then the knit. That's usually where the right style shows up:

• Schools and teams. The Augusta 6816 pom beanie comes in 13 colors, so most school colors are covered. Stripes too: Sportsman SP60, Richardson 134. More in team beanies for schools and clubs.
• Runners and early workouts: start with performance beanies. The DRI DUCK 3561 Epic Performance in this category is polyester micro fleece.
• Job sites. DRI DUCK 3523 comes in Blaze Orange and Neon Yellow. The Bulwark HMC2 is listed as flame-resistant 100% modacrylic, double layer, and made to fit under a hard hat. Check your site's required FR rating before you order it. On FR gear we use only approved thread or patches in approved spots, and we never claim the logo keeps a rating. • Brands that care about materials: Atlantis WIND in 100% recycled polyester with QR-code traceability, econscious EC7045 with a tear-away label, Bayside 3835 in combed ring-spun cotton made in the USA, or the Imperial 6012 Edelweiss, a blend of merino wool, cashmere, nylon and Tencel, for a gift.
• Hunting and outdoor groups: Kati LCB12 and LCB08 in licensed Realtree and Mossy Oak camo.

Ordering Custom Embroidered Beanies

There's no minimum. One beanie is fine, and you can mix colors in the same order. What moves the price: the beanie you pick, the stitch count (the number of stitches in your design, so bigger and denser logos cost more), the number of placements, and the quantity. Send your logo and the style numbers you like, and we'll quote the exact beanies.
