Printing is not one-size-fits-all. Garment fabric, color, surface, artwork detail, order quantity and intended use influence the best process. We review these factors before recommending screen printing, DTF, DTG or sublimation.

Clothing and Cap Printing Methods

Screen Printing

Screen printing applies ink through prepared screens, with separate screens generally used for individual colors. It is a strong option for repeat designs and quantity orders, especially when the artwork uses clear shapes and a controlled color palette. The garment and ink system must be compatible.

DTF Printing

Direct-to-film printing transfers a printed design from film onto the item. DTF can reproduce colorful artwork, gradients and fine details on many suitable garment types. It is useful when a design needs more visual detail than a traditional spot-color print.

DTG Printing

Direct-to-garment printing places ink directly onto the fabric. It works well for detailed, full-color artwork on compatible garments, particularly when a softer printed appearance is preferred. Fabric composition and garment color affect preparation and the final result.

Sublimation Printing

Sublimation uses heat to turn dye into a permanent part of compatible polyester material. It is especially useful for bright sportswear and all-over or panel-based designs. It is not the right process for every fabric, so product selection should be confirmed before artwork is finalized.

Selecting the Best Print Process

Artwork, Fabric and Quantity

A simple multi-unit logo may suit screen printing, while detailed full-color art may be better suited to DTF or DTG. Polyester sports garments may support sublimation. Caps require additional attention because panels, seams, curves and structure can limit the printable area and available methods.

Artwork Approval and Placement

Send the artwork, garment choice, sizes, quantities, print locations and required date. We review the files and prepare the project for approval. Any change to the design, size, color or placement should be confirmed in writing before production.

Artwork Acceptance Policy

We do not accept artwork that contains or promotes alcoholic products, pornography or sexually explicit material, illegal activity, drugs, terrorism, hate speech, racism, discrimination, or content that violates generally accepted community standards. We may reject any design that conflicts with this policy.

Spoilage Policy

Custom decoration carries an allowable spoilage rate of up to 3%. Items damaged above that allowance are normally replaced; when replacement is impractical, the garment value above 3% is refunded or adjusted. Review our full spoilage policy before ordering.
