Custom Long Sleeve T-Shirts: Crews, Hooded Tees, Henleys and Thermals

Custom long sleeve t-shirts… in crew, hooded, henley, V-neck, thermal and camo styles, youth to 7XL and tall, printed or stitched with your logo. Get a quote.

Twenty-one of the long sleeve tees in this group have a hood. Two more have a henley placket (a short buttoned or snapped opening at the neck), three are V-necks, one is a mock turtleneck, and a handful come in camo or tie-dye. So custom long sleeve t-shirts here aren't one plain shirt in 263 versions. The extra on the shirt decides what it's good for, and sometimes how your logo reads on it. Pick the style by its extra first, then the color. Then we print or stitch your logo on the chest.

Which Spots Can Printed Long Sleeve T-Shirts Take?

On 262 of the 263 listings here, the decoration profile approves two logo spots, one on each side of the chest, and allows printing or embroidery there. A few listings mention more room. The Gildan 42400 Performance listing talks about clear front, back or sleeve areas, and the HUK LoPro tees, like the HUK H12L009, say front, back or sleeve printing may be possible on a clear area. Anything past the chest gets checked on that exact shirt before we say yes.

The catch? Those two chest spots don't give you the same canvas on every shirt. A placket and its buttons sit right next to the logo on a henley, the collar rides high on the mock turtleneck, and a camo print fights a thin logo. So the extra you pick also sets how big and how detailed the chest logo can be.

Left chest is the usual pick.

Custom Long Sleeve T-Shirts With a Hood, a Placket or a Pattern

Here's how the styles sort out, and what each one means for your logo.

Plain crews (most of the 263)

The bulk of this group has no extra at all, and each listing's fabric line is the quickest way to tell them apart. The BELLA + CANVAS 3501 reads 4.2 oz combed ring-spun cotton (ring-spun is a smoother, softer cotton yarn; "oz" is the knit's weight per square yard, and higher means heavier cloth). The Comfort Colors 6014 reads 6.1 oz ring-spun cotton and is garment-dyed, meaning the color goes in after the shirt is sewn. That's nearly half again as heavy as the 3501. And the Augusta 788 reads 3.7 oz polyester wicking knit, the kind that wicks, or draws, sweat outward to dry. Three shirts, three different feels in the hand.

Hooded tees (21 styles)

A hooded tee is still a T-shirt, just with a hood on top. The ones we checked are light knits. The Holloway 222830 is 4.1 oz polyester interlock, a smooth, tight knit. The Augusta 6884 is a 3.8 oz tri-blend of polyester, cotton and rayon, and its listing states UPF 15+ sun protection. The LAT 6917 is a 4.5 oz cotton jersey with raglan sleeves (the sleeve goes all the way up to the neckline, no shoulder seam). Want a full hoodie instead? That's our hoodies page.

"Can the logo go on the hood?" We get that one often. On these listings the hood isn't one of the logo areas, so the chest carries the logo and the hood stays plain.

Henleys, V-necks and one mock neck

The J. America 8244 Men's Henley is 7 oz brushed cotton with a four-button placket and ribbed cuffs. The Boxercraft BW2402 is a ribbed 96/4 cotton/spandex knit with a twill tape snap placket and a slim rib fit. Since the placket runs down the center, both chest sides stay clear on a henley.

The V-necks, like the Holloway 222824 and the Augusta 1788, are 100% polyester knits. The Augusta 797 Mock Turtleneck is a 3.4 oz polyester wicking knit.

We'd stitch the 7 oz henley and print the rest. That weight gives a small embroidered logo something to hold on to, while a 3.4 oz knit, or a rib with spandex in it, can pucker (bunch up around the stitches) under a dense design. Big difference.

Thermal knits

There are two. The Shaka Wear SHTHRM is listed at 9 oz. The Next Level 8212 Women's Ideal Thermal is a 5.5 oz cotton and recycled polyester blend in a cropped fit, in Black or Bone.

Squeegee note: a thermal has a textured, waffle-like face. Hairline strokes and tiny type fall into those little squares and break up. Go bold, and go a size up from what you'd put on smooth jersey.

Camo and tie-dye

The Colortone 2000 lists 23 tie-dye colorways on 5.3 oz preshrunk cotton, and there's a youth 2000Y.

Camo is the bigger bunch. The Badger 4184 Digital Camo is sublimated polyester, so the pattern is dyed into the fabric. The Code Five 3981 carries Realtree on 5.5 oz ring-spun cotton. Add two RealTree styles, a HUK LoPro Camo and the youth Badger 2184, and that's the camo set.

A loud shirt needs a louder logo. One solid ink color, no fine detail. A thin, mid-tone logo on a camo print gets lost in the leaves.

Sizes: Youth, Women's, Tall and Up to 7XL

Ordering for a mixed group? Check the size range before you fall for a style. They're not all the same.

  • Youth: 15 styles say Youth in the name, and hooded tees come in kids' sizes too, like the Badger 2105 and AllPro 48510Y.
  • Women's cuts, 21 by name.
  • Tall: the Shaka Wear SHMHLST runs XLT to 5XLT, the AllPro 48400T LT to 4XLT, and the Bayside 6200 LT to 3XLT in one color.
  • Biggest: the Shaka Wear SHMHLS, sizes up to 7XL.
  • 6XL on the Paragon 210 and CORE365 CE10L.

Want lots of color choice? The plain crews win there. The Comfort Colors 6014 lists 50 colors and the BELLA + CANVAS 3501 lists 46.

How We Work as Your Long Sleeve Shirt Designer

As a long sleeve shirt maker, we handle the step after the sewing: the brand on the listing makes the blank, and your logo comes from us.

The design part happens on the mockup. Send your logo, the style number and which chest. We lay it out as a mockup, a preview of the shirt wearing your design. Give that step 2–3 working days. Okay it, and a smaller job spends 7–10 working days with us in production. Big runs move slower than that. Get a firm date from our team before any launch day is set.

One shirt is a normal order for us. There's no minimum, and sizes and colors can sit side by side in one order. Your price comes from four things: the shirt style, the ink colors or stitch count, the number of logo placements, and the quantity. While you get the logo ready, skim the Artwork Acceptance Policy; every art file we receive goes by it.

For printed long sleeve shirts, our custom printing team matches the method to your artwork and your quantity. A bold one-color chest logo on a big run usually goes to screen printing (one stencil screen per ink color). Full-color art, or just a few shirts, suits DTF (direct-to-film, a printed film heat pressed on). Heat transfer handles names.

Which extra did you land on: hood, henley, thermal, camo or a plain crew? Name it in our quote request, attach the logo and a count per size, and the mockup plus your number follow.

Quick Answers on Long Sleeve Tees

Do you have long sleeve tees with a pocket? Three: the Gildan 2410, the American Apparel 9410 at 9 oz, and the ComfortWash GDH250. Short sleeve pocket styles are on our pocket T-shirts page.

Where are the short sleeve versions? Over on short sleeve T-shirts. Shopping for a different season? Begin at custom T-shirts. Polos, jackets and anything that isn't a tee are under custom apparel.

Can one order mix a thermal and a plain crew? Yes. No style has a minimum, so a few thermals can ride along with the plain tees, in mixed sizes and colors. When the fabrics are far apart, say the 9 oz SHTHRM next to a 3.7 oz polyester tee, the logo may need its own setup for each one.
