Here's a tip before you pick anything: put the apron on the shortest and the tallest person on your team. If it works on both, it'll work on everyone in between. That's the real test for custom aprons, because almost every apron here comes in one size: bib, waist, cobbler, smock, butcher, full-length, doesn't matter. The fit comes from the straps and the cut, not from a size chart.
Custom Mens Apron or Women's? Mostly the Same Apron
A lot of calls start with "do you have a custom mens apron and a women's one?" Look, the honest answer: the aprons in this collection aren't cut by gender. 49 of the 50 are listed as One Size, and two say "unisex" right in the name, like the Artisan Collection by Reprime RP023 Unisex Work Apron.
So what makes one fit a tall guy on the grill and a petite barista on the bar? The strap. A fixed neck loop sits wherever it sits. An adjustable one moves, so the bib lands at the right height on each person. The Liberty Bags 5507 Adjustable Neck Strap Apron is built around exactly that. The Liberty Bags 5509 Splatter Armor Apron is the one style listed as Adjustable instead of One Size.
Shopping for customized aprons for womens teams? A cobbler sits a bit differently. Cobbler aprons usually skip the neck strap and wrap the body instead, which salons and florists like. The Liberty Bags 5506 Christine Cobbler Apron is the cobbler in this collection. Men wear them too, by the way.
Which Style for Which Job?
| Style | Covers | Who it suits | One to look at |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bib | Chest to knee | Cooks, pitmasters, baristas, bartenders | Chef Designs TT32, 7.5 oz 65/35 poly/cotton |
| Waist | Hips down | Servers, register staff | Chef Designs TT46, 65/35 poly-cotton twill |
| Cobbler | Wraps the body, usually no neck strap | Stylists, florists, retail | Liberty Bags 5506 |
| Smock | More of the upper body | Craft, retail, classrooms | Augusta Sportswear 2090 |
There's more than those four. Butcher aprons, the long plain classic for meat counters, come from Liberty Bags (5502, 5505, 5510) and Q-Tees (Q2010). Full-length styles include the Q-Tees Q4250 and Q4350 and the Augusta Sportswear 4250 and 4350. And the Liberty Bags 5511 is the denim one. Brands across the collection: Chef Designs, Artisan Collection by Reprime, Liberty Bags, Q-Tees, Augusta Sportswear, Big Accessories and econscious.
Quick word on "oz": it's ounces per square yard, so the number tells you how heavy the cloth is. And twill is a tight diagonal weave, the kind that takes a beating.
Fabric-wise, we'd go poly/cotton for a busy kitchen. Canvas is the tough one: the Artisan Collection by Reprime RP129 Barista Bib Apron is 9.4 oz cotton canvas with straps that cross over the back. Big plus on a ten-hour shift... the weight sits on your shoulders, not your neck. The downside? Canvas wrinkles and fades faster in a hard commercial wash than a blend does. Worth knowing before you hand the order to a linen service.
Custom Aprons with Logo and Personalized Names
Most custom aprons with logo get custom embroidery. It's stitched into the fabric, so it won't crack or peel in the wash. Bib aprons carry the logo centered on the chest. Waist aprons put it on one side, away from the pockets.
From the floor: if the bib has a big center pocket, move the logo up and to one side. Stitching across a pocket opening looks messy and the pocket stops working.
Personalized aprons are where it gets good. Each person gets their first name, or a title like "Head Chef", above a pocket or across from the logo. Guests use the name. Staff stop grabbing each other's apron off the hook. Small thing. Big help.
Your logo gets digitized first, which means it's rebuilt as a stitch file the machine follows. Then you see a mockup before we stitch anything. We handle every logo under our Artwork Acceptance Policy.
Ordering for a Team
You can order one apron or a hundred, there's no minimum. Mix styles and colors in the same order if the kitchen wears bibs and the floor wears waist aprons. What moves the price is the apron itself, the logo size and stitch count (how many stitches the logo takes), how many spots you decorate and how many you order. For a number, get a quote.
Timing for small orders: 2–3 working days for the mockup, then 7–10 working days to make them. Bigger runs take longer, so ask first.
Looking for something more specific? Kitchen styles live under chef aprons, and heavier shop styles under work aprons. For a full uniform, there's aprons and workwear together, plus chef coats. Everything else sits under custom apparel.
One last thing. Every apron can carry a different name, so send the name list with your order and double-check the spelling before you approve the mockup. A typo stitched in is a typo forever.
