Create and attach embroidered, printed, leather, woven, chenille or PVC patches to clothing and hats, with sew-on and selected iron-on backing options.

Custom-Made Patches and Professional Attachment

Houston Embroidery Service creates custom patches and attaches them to suitable clothing, jackets, uniforms and hats. Patches can display company logos, team identities, names, numbers, commemorative artwork or approved promotional designs. We review the artwork, patch type, size, shape, colors, border and placement before production.

A patch can add texture and dimension while keeping the decoration separate from the base garment. It can also provide a consistent branded look across different apparel styles when the same patch design is applied to multiple items.

Choose a Patch Style for Your Design

Embroidered Patches

Embroidered patches use thread to create a traditional textured surface. They work well for bold logos, lettering and simple shapes. Thread colors, stitch direction and border details are selected to create a clear, durable patch design.

Woven Patches

Woven patches use finer woven threads to create a flatter, more precise finish. They can hold smaller details, thinner lettering and intricate linework that may be difficult to reproduce with traditional embroidery. Woven patches are a practical choice when clarity and detail are priorities.

Printed Patches

Printed patches reproduce artwork on a patch surface and are suitable for detailed images, gradients and complex color changes. They can be a practical choice when the design contains visual information that would be difficult to reproduce with thread alone.

Leather Patches

Leather patches create a clean, premium look for hats, jackets and branded clothing. They can be customized with logos, lettering and simple artwork. The leather color, patch shape, edge treatment and attachment method should match the product and intended use.

PVC Patches

PVC patches have a flexible, dimensional rubber-like surface and can support bold shapes, defined borders and layered details. They are often selected for outdoor apparel, uniforms, bags and headwear where a modern, durable appearance is desired.

Chenille Patches

Chenille patches have a soft, raised texture associated with varsity and letterman styling. They are a strong choice for large letters, numbers, mascots and simple shapes on jackets, sweatshirts and team apparel. Smaller details may need to be simplified for a cleaner result.

Patch Backing and Attachment Options

Sew-On Patch Attachment

All listed patch styles can be produced for sew-on attachment. Sewing is our standard option for attaching patches to clothing and hats because the patch is secured around its border. Thread color, stitch path, placement and garment construction are considered before attachment.

Selected Iron-On Options

Iron-on backing is available only for suitable patch types, garments and designs. Heat-sensitive fabrics, coated materials, seams and structured cap areas may not be compatible. An iron-on patch can still be sewn when additional attachment is preferred, but suitability should be confirmed before production.

Artwork and Production Approval

Send your artwork with the patch size, quantity, product and desired placement. We prepare a mockup showing the approved design and position. Changes to artwork, colors, dimensions or placement must be approved before production or attachment begins.

Artwork Acceptance Policy

We do not accept artwork that contains or promotes alcoholic products, pornography or sexually explicit material, illegal activity, drugs, terrorism, hate speech, racism, discrimination, or content that violates generally accepted community standards. We may reject any design that conflicts with this policy.

Spoilage Policy

Custom decoration carries an allowable spoilage rate of up to 3%. Items damaged above that allowance are normally replaced; when replacement is impractical, the garment value above 3% is refunded or adjusted. Read our full spoilage policy before ordering.
